Finding skincare that is affordable, in price range, and actually works on your skin can be somewhat of a challenge. I picked up a cleanser from Amie back when I was at University and couldn’t afford to re-stock on Liz Earle’s cleanse and polish and wanted something creamy to remove make-up. I have been buying the Morning Clear Purifying face wash ever since because it works very similarly to cleanse and polish as well as being organic and natural for a fraction of the price. Moreover, if you happen to run out of your favourite cleanser and can’t get ahold of it very easily then Amie can be found in your local Waitrose or online. The price range is great for all of the products in the range and there are great kits if you are new to the world of skincare or are on a budget.
I have recently tried out another 3 of the products in the range and thought I would review them on here for you.
I use this cleanser morning and evening to remove make-up and to freshen up my skin. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised and clean and is really gentle. The super-effective natural solution helps to control and re-balance your skin with the use of Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, and Malva Syvestris extract. These active ingredients are beneficial to the skin and contain high levels of fatty acids helping to moisturise. They also soothe and soften and help control breakouts, oiliness, and dryness. At £4.95 for 150ml, it’s not going to break the bank and is going to last you a really long time.
It is vital to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week to remove dead skin cells and help new ones to grow. I wouldn’t use this one on a daily basis like the name suggests as I use the morning wash, however, when it comes to exfoliating on those couple of days it really gets to work. The face wash Contains green apple, lemon extract, blueberry seed, and vitamin E which all smell incredible! Again, the wash is 150ml so will last you a good amount of time.
After cleansing, I think it is equally as important to moisturise. This one from Amie is light weight and absorbs into the skin well. It does what it says- controls oiliness and shine, hydrates, and softens. What more could you ask for when it only costs £4.95! This moisturiser can be used morning and evening and also works really well as a primer for makeup. Lemon fruit extract is used as a natural and effective antiseptic so if you are prone to spots and breakouts this will stop them from spreading and act as a soothing treatment. Orange blossom is also used to clarify the skin and helps to remove excess sebum and oils. The vitamin E protects against sun damage and pollution. I’ve been loving this product and think it will become an essential in the summer months.
Perfect for detoxifying, purifying pores and combating blemishes this face mask is the perfect pick me up when your skin is being troublesome. Using peppermint, white clay and lime butter, it draws out any dirt and impurities while soaking up excess oil. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and would work amazingly on teenage skin.
What amazes me about all these products is that they all work really well and are so affordable! They contain natural and organic active ingredients so will work together with your skin to leave it feeling refreshed and brand new. If you are looking for new items to try out as part of your skincare regime then I would definitely recommend picking them up and giving them ago. At this very moment in time, I know that the range is buy one get one free in Waitrose and you can also add some of them to your ‘Pick your own offers’ to get 20% off every time you buy them.
Please let me know if you give them ago and how they might compare to the skincare you are currently using!
