Love brand/ Cath Kidston

Whenever I go shopping and a Cath Kidston is nearby I will always go in and explore! I adore their prints and ideas for all things home/travel/accessories and I basically want everything in there!

On Sunday I am moving into university halls and thought this would give me the perfect opportunity to buy a couple of things to brighten up the place!

~Cath Kidston 16 Piece Cutlery Set.

I was really lucky when picking up this set as it was half price. By buying a patterned cutlery set when going to university you can easily distinguish which set is yours and try and keep it all together. Unfortunately I cannot see this exact set online, however I have linked a very similar set called ‘little leaves’ which is very similar and is the new season.

I also picked up a pair of oven gloves and a travel cup in the large spray print. This print is gorgeous and think will really pop in the kitchen. The oven gloves were £14 and the travel cup £8 so with student discount weren’t too badly priced. I also think the quality of these items will last a lot longer than if you were to buy cheap alternatives. –As my friend says “buy cheap buy twice”.

The Oven Gloves:

I then looked into buying some storage! Storage will be so useful when it comes to arranging everything in my uni room and will let me organise things a bit better.
I managed to pick up some items in the cloud range that you can see below, as well as some fabric pouches that look like wicker baskets! I picked up all the items in the sale so were very well priced, and if you are interested in buying something similar then they have different prints in the same designs in the new season range.

~Perfect for jewellery and watches/keys/small loose bits and bobs.
~Same items but in a different design:
Popper Trays:

So I hope you like this little haul of what I picked up…
Cath Kidston have a uni inspiration page if you want to check that out and pick anything up to brighten up your place! I’m off to go and buy the rest of the shop!

Simple Make-up Look

I love doing my make-up in the morning. I have a small collection that I like to mix up all the time, however when I find something that works I tend to keep it that way and tweak it from time to time.
At the moment i’m liking a simple make-up look that takes no time at all and feels light-weight on the skin. This makes it perfect for when you haven’t got a lot of time in the morning and need to head out the door.
This post also features some bits that aren’t seen directly on the high-street so may help you find something a bit out of the ordinary!

  1. Base
I recently brought the Origins GinZing Revitalizing Mineral Makeup in the shade 01 light to replace my Bare Minerals foundation Powder. I am really liking this product at the moment as it covers any blemishes or imperfections whilst absorbing any oils on my skin. The ultra light powder gives a very light base and feels like you are applying nothing to the face however getting a decent coverage. To use simply swirl the brush over the top of the mesh inside the pot and tap off any excess. Then sweep gently across the face using the powder foundation brush that works perfectly with the powder.
If you have any blemishes or imperfections that you want to target simply press a small brush into the pot to get more pigmentation and dab onto that area. This way you can apply more to one area without having to cover your whole face.

For the under eye area and anywhere else on the skin that needs more coverage I used the Nars Creamy concealer. This just gives the look a more flawless look and finishes the base perfectly without being too heavy.

2. Eyebrows/Lashes/Complexion

I then move onto my brows using the Mac eyeshadow in Omega. I have blonde hair and this is the perfect colour! I use an angled eyeshadow brush and apply throughout my brows and comb them. For me, this gives a really natural finish whilst giving definition.
To add warmth and glow to my complexion I have been using the My Little Beauty Face Bronzing Powder in Summer Caress. I managed to get my hands on this as I am subscribed to My Little Box, and have been using this across my cheeks and parts of my face where the sun naturally hits. The colour and pigmentation of this bronzer is lovely and again works really well on my skin-tone.

For lashes I have been using the Mii showstopping lash lover which I picked up from The Aqua Sauna in Center Parcs. I love this mascara as it separates, gives great length and volume and is only £14.50 which for a mascara these days is pretty impressive. The mascara cannot be found on the highstreet but I would highly recommend checking out their products online!

Finally I add some of the Hourglass Ambient Blush in Dim Infusion for a subtle pop of colour and I’m done! This blush is gorgeous and is well worth the investment!

Love to Travel- Cornwall

Last september a friend and I took a spontaneous trip to Cornwall. I wanted to go to Cornwall as it is such a peaceful and relaxing place as well as giving you a space to think and have time out. We stayed in a beautifully unique B&B called The Artist Residance which was in the heart of Penzance and enabled us to travel to other parts of Cornwall with ease.
IMG_3949This was the twin bedroom. It came with a little en suite filled with BeeGood Products.

Breakfast Time: ~ Homemade granola ~ Fresh Yoghurt and compote ~ Pancakes and berries ~
Mini Full English ~  Scrambled Eggs ~  Smoked Salmon ~ Omelette ~

~The vast menu allowed us to have something new everyday and explore different breakfast ideas that we wouldn’t normally have at home. ~

Places i loved:

A tiny harbour filled with local residents all going about their own lives. Here you can find fishing boats, tiny shops with local produce, and my favourite place The Rock Pool Cafe. Here you can overlook the sea and of course the rockpools… and if you catch it on a good day you can sit in the sunshine, read a good book and let time pass you by. A must visit!

Handmade cakes, brownies and sandwiches are available as well as gifts and bits to take away.

I decided to have a strawberry milkshake and it was AMAZING.IMG_3984

St. Ives
St. Ives is packed full of things to do! There is a gorgeous beach right next to shops, restaurants, museums, cafes and walks. We visited the Tate museum, explored the lanes full of shops, went to the beach and had dinner. St. Ives has a charming personality with lots to do.. it is one of my favourite places!

I brought a super soft grey hoodie from the surf shack and a new phone case from Cath Kidston.

Port Issac:
When you imagine a sweet little cornish town Port Issac hits the spot! A small town surrounds the beach and harbour where you can find shops, cafes, restaurants and stunning walks overlooking the sea and beautiful landscapes. I remember visiting Port Issac when I was younger with my parents and loving the scenery. It truly is a wonderful little place.. and ohh oh oh. If you like hot chocolate then visit the cafe in the church. It is the BEST I have ever had!

So there you have it! A year later but it is finally up! If you ever visit Cornwall then I hope you hunt these little gems out and love them as much as I do,
